Staffers can easily edit or delete timesheet entries that have been saved but not submitted. This article will explain how to make changes to timesheet entries in both daily and weekly views.
NOTE: If a timesheet has been submitted for review, as indicated by the lock symbol in the image above, a staffer can’t edit or delete the timesheet entry, unless it has been rejected by the manager.
- Click Timesheet/Expense...Timesheet from the navigation menu to get to your Timesheets.
- Access the editing window by clicking on a box with logged hours, if you’re in weekly view.
In this view, you can also click on an “empty” box, as shown in the image below, to add a timesheet entry.
If you’re in daily view, click on the time entry itself, as shown in the image below.
- Edit the timesheet entry by adjusting the number of hours, updating the task, or adding notes.
In weekly view, your editing window will look like this:
In the image above, we adjusted the hours and added notes. Easily make more edits at different points in time by using the arrows next to the date.
In either view, click Save to save your work. Or click Delete to permanently remove the time entry. BigTime will prompt you with a question box asking if you want to delete the timesheet row. Click Yes to delete it.
